FAQ

Why does Discord voice keep cutting out?

Usually it isn't your speed — the path from your connection to Discord's voice servers is unstable, so voice packets arrive late or get lost. DisGo finds the steadiest route on your own connection and sends only Discord over it.

What do RTC Connecting and No Route mean?

Discord couldn't reach its voice server. While DisGo is connected, voice goes over the DisGo route. If Discord was already open before you connected DisGo, quit it fully (Quit Discord) and open it again.

Does DisGo change my whole internet?

No. Only Discord traffic goes through DisGo. Your browser, games and other apps keep their normal route.

Will my game ping go up?

No. Games never go through DisGo, so no ping is added.

Does it conflict with ExitLag or similar tools?

No. They run side by side — Discord through DisGo, games through your own tool.

What's a good Discord voice ping?

The app shows voice ping, packet loss and uptime live. The exact number depends on your provider, so we don't promise a fixed figure; DisGo always picks the lowest-latency route it can find.

What if I switch internet?

DisGo detects the network change in seconds and moves Discord to the best route without dropping the call.

How much is free?

2 GB a month. An hour of voice usually uses about 30–60 MB.

Does it work on mobile or Mac?

Not yet. DisGo is currently released for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

Windows says "Windows protected your PC" — is it safe?

That message is normal for new apps that aren't digitally signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. Every release lists its SHA-256 hash on the download page so you can verify the file.

What data do you keep?

Your account email, data used and connection times. Your Discord messages, voice and files are never recorded. Anonymous diagnostics can be turned off in Settings. Full details are in the privacy policy.

How do I pay?

Online payments aren't live yet. The free plan is available now.
